Michael E Smith 78, passed away April 1 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic. He is survived by Ruth E Smith his wife of 55 years of marriage. He is also survived by his daughters Theresa M Smith and Scott Wagner. Christine Smith, Katherine D Dobbs and Douglas Dobbs, Jean Smith Schuster and Scott Schuster and His 6 grandchildren Natalie, Evan, Emily, Alex, Michael and Nicklas. His sister Frances Cashin of Texas and brother Ferrell and Judy Smith of Ohio. He retired from Republic Steel after 32 years of service. He enjoyed his many friends and family along with hunting, woodworking and rides on his lawn mower to visit friends in the neighborhood.

Mass of the Christian Burial THURSDAY, 11:00 am at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 High St. North. with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey celebrant. Friends may call WEDNESDAY 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. East, (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Final resting place Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michael's name to the Cardiac Unit/Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44195.
