Obituary

Noah Maple, age 12, passed away peacefully at home on January 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, after a life marked by medical complexity and extraordinary strength.

Noah’s life, though far too short, was filled with meaning, joy, and moments that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He faced each day with resilience and determination, teaching those around him profound lessons about perseverance, unconditional love, and the beauty found in simple moments.

Noah found happiness in the things that brought him comfort and joy – sensory shakey bottles, his beloved chewies, car rides, walks outside, and anything involving water, whether swimming or soaking in the bath.

His smile – truly the world’s best – had a way of lighting up every room and bringing instant joy to anyone lucky enough to see it.

Known for his ornery spirit and big personality, Noah kept life interesting. From grabbing fistfuls of food, attempting daring escapes from the house for a walk, tossing groceries into the cart, to stripping down in pursuit of a fourth bath of the day – Noah lived boldly and unapologetically as himself. He loved the Grinch, Christmas lights, green grapes, and whipped cream more than words can explain, and those joys will forever be reminders of him.

Above all else, Noah was deeply loved. He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Kristen Maple; his brother, Jayden Poorman; grandparents, Jim and Lisa Maple, Jennifer and Lee Rue; aunts, Ashley (Christopher) Sterner; Jenny (Brent) Morrison; Sarah Maple; great-grandparents, Chuck and Shirley Higgins, Barbara Gooding, Ben Nardi; cousins, Shane, Sylvia, Sophia and Sam Sterner and Taylor and Blake Morrison, who will carry his memory in their hearts always.

Though Noah’s time on earth was brief, his impact was immeasurable. His life was a gift, his love was pure, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the lives he touched.
