IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul Edward
Lautzenhiser
December 10, 2015
Paul E. Lautzenhiser, 90 of North Lawrence, was called home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2015.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Annabel and a sister Ellen Baughman.
He left behind a brother Glenn (Glennis), 3 children, Judy (Art) Klett, Terry (Sherry) Lautzenhiser, and Faye (Stan) Anderson, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren - all of whom will greatly miss him.
Born May 12, 1925, Paul grew up a farmer before leaving for the war. He served as an Army medic in Okinawa during WWII. Once he returned home he started at Republic Steel. He soon realized the factory was not for him and took to carpentry, learning most of what he knew from his father-in-law.
Paul lived a full life. He attended Mt. Pleasant Church of the Brethren where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He and Annabel were members of the Cabin Cruisers and camped regularly with them. He also loved playing cards and interacting with his friends and family. He was an avid craftsman, creating beautiful wooden works of art. He also very much loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was actively involved in their lives as often as he could be.
Grandpa, we love you!
