Raymond J. Baker, 84 of Manchester died Sunday, February 3, 2013. Raymond was born in Leon, West Virginia, had lived most of his life in Manchester and was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked for Davey Tree, Roadway and Consolidated Freight before retiring from Manchester Tool Co. He was a member of Wayfarer Lodge #789, F & AM. Preceded in death by his wife Margaret A. Baker in 2000 and by numerous brothers and sisters, Raymond is survived by sons, Raymond J. Baker, Jr.and Everett A. Baker; daughters Karen (John) Bert and Sharon Baker; grandchildren, Lauren Baker, Raymond C. (Leah) Baker, Carl Baker, Johnny Bert and Nick Bert; great grandchildren, Natalie, Xander, Raymond J., Hunter and Jace; very special friend, Opal; brothers, Warren and Carl; sister, Carolyn, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service THURSDAY 12:30 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rte. 93, Canal Fulton) and where friends may call THURSDAY one hour prior to time of service. Burial at Manchester Cemetery with military honors by Firestone VFW Post #3383.
