Raymond D. Godwin, 80 of Clinton, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. He was born December 28, 1943 to the late Raymond E. and Florence (Wieland) Godwin and had been a life resident of the Manchester/Clinton. Ray was a 1961 graduate of Manchester High School and served with the Ohio National Guard. He worked as a police officer for Akron, Copley and New Franklin, was an engine builder for Gable's Machine and retired from Ohio Materials Handling. Ray enjoyed everything about cars. He raced at Barberton Speedway, built Hot Rods and would help other car enthusiasts their build cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheryl Morin. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Janice (Cameron) Godwin; son, Todd Godwin; stepdaughters, Pam and Sharon Kame; brother, David Godwin and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no services will be held. His ashes will be placed in the columbarium wall at Clinton Cemetery.
