Obituary

Richard A. Bigham, 86 of Manchester died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at his home. Richard retired from Firestone, Plant 1, Tread Room with 37 years of service. He enjoyed playing cards at Northwest Stark Senior Center and having coffee with his friends at McDonald's. He was a veteran of the Army in World War II, a member of American Legion Garfield Memorial Post 566, Coventry Township and he recently went on the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.


He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Eleanor Bigham;

children, Eileen Snyder; Rick (Kathy) Bigham; Jane (Larry) Collier; Nancy Snyder and Paul (Nadine) Bigham; grandchildren, Dan, Mark and Andy Snyder, Angela Brumbaugh, Tim Collier, Niki Snyder, Josh and Sam Bigham. Three Great Grandchildren; sister, Rita Crater.

Funeral Service MONDAY 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry Street (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Rob Kasler officiating. Military honors will take place at the conclusion of the service. Friends may call at the funeral home SUNDAY 2-4 p.m. and Monday one hour prior to time of services. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to Honor Flight CAK, 567 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Road, Akron, Ohio 44319.
