Richard Lee"Dick" Klingenhagen, 71, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. Dick was born on May 30, 1941 in Akron, Ohio. Dick was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Frances (Toots). Dick grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1959. After high school, Dick graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 1964. Dick married Mary Ellen in 1967 in Cuyahoga Falls and they were happily married for 46 years. He resided with his wife and family in Canal Fulton, Ohio for the last 36 years and was a member of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. Dick served in Vietnam War from 1966-1967. He served as Director for the Community Blood Program from 1974-1997. Dick is survived by his son, Jim (Theresa), Doylestown; daughters: Marie Turkovich (Kevin), Cuyahoga Falls; Lesa Brugger (Mark) and Amy Klingenhagen (Greta Zeigler) both of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Janice Wise, Cuyahoga Falls, grandchildren Kristen and James Roan, Cuyahoga Falls; many nieces, nephews and close friends. A Memorial Service will be held FRIDAY, 11:00 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt.93, Canal Fulton). Friends may call THURSDAY, 6pm-8pm and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
