Richard L. Weigand, 81 of Canal Fulton, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023. He was born February 22, 1942 to the late Henry and Irene (Laughlin) Weigand and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Richard graduated from Northwest High School and the University of Cincinnati. Richard was the manager of the Proving Grounds in Luxembourg, San Angelo, TX and Akron for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and retired after 37 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, reading Science Fiction, woodworking and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Weigand. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Elaine Weigand; daughter, Krista LaFay and grandchildren, Elora and Isaac LaFay. Funeral services will be held FRIDAY, April 28, 2023, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt 93) Canal Fulton, Rev Ann Cammarn officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday 4pm to 6pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to service time.
