Robert Reinhart Schilling, 85 of New Franklin, passed away Monday, September 8, 2025 after a 5 year battle with dementia. Born April 28, 1940 to the late Peter and Anna (Neidert) Schilling, he had been a life resident of the New Franklin/Canal Fulton area. Bob retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 36 years of service and stayed active with the Goodyear Hunting and Fishing Club. He loved spending time with family but hunting and fishing were his peace of mind. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gale Schilling; sister, Shirley Fites; brothers, Peter, Richard, Kenneth and John. Bob leaves behind daughters, Sandy (Denny) Ardman and Kelly (Jody) Summers; son, Bob (Rosalie) Schilling; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Swisher; sisters-in-law, Linda and Nancy Schilling; many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Dianna, Kim and Dawn from Traditions Hospice for their love and gentle care with our dad. We love you! Funeral Services will be held MONDAY, September 15, 2025, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Clinton Cemetery.
