Ross William "Skip" Stoll passed away April 17, 2016 at his home from complications of Parkinson's disease.
He was born September 5, 1931 in Marshallville to Ferdinand and Myrtle (Kaser) Stoll and was united in marriage March 1, 1956 to Joann Merreot of Orrville, a marriage that would last over 60 years.
Skip graduated from Dalton High School in 1949. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. Following his service, he made his home in North Lawrence where he engaged in dairy and grain farming until retirement.
He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, and playing cards with friends.
He is survived by his wife Joann, daughters Diane (Chris Blauser) and Denise (Carl McCoy) and son Dean (fiancAC.e Lynn Baker) Stoll. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers and sisters; Dorothy Stoll, Kathryn Stoll, Esta Coyle, Granville (Bud) Stoll, Martha Grunder, Cora Leitner, Betty Jane Schoolcraft, Carl Stoll, Ellen Caillet, Ada Oder, a daughter Deborah Domer, and a granddaughter.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours or funeral. A private family celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
