Roxie Shepard 98, of Manchester died Monday, January 16, 2012 at her home. She was born August 22, 1913 in Silver Hill, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl Richter. Her husband, H. V. Shepard preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her stepchildren, Trevis; Vernon (Bud); Pat Wilcox; Verna Ewing; Vera Robertson and four brothers and one sister. Roxie was a member of Manchester United Methodist Church and their Senior Citizens Group. She was a beautiful sewer, quilter and loved her flowers. She is survived by her stepson, Mineth of Bullhead, Arizona; stepdaughter, Joyce Sheets of Springport, Michigan; daughters-in-law, Louise Shepard of Akron; Joan Shepard; son-in-law, Rich Robertson of Akron; brother, Hurless Richter of Seville. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Service FRIDAY, 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry Street, (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with Rev. Dale Gharky officiating and where friends may call FRIDAY from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
