Roy R. Restel, 97 died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton, Ohio. Born in Cleveland, Ohio October 24, 1920 , Roy was the youngest son of the late Theodore and Ella (Sahl) Restel. He attended schools in Cleveland and graduated from Oberlin College in 1949 and went on to Harvard for his graduate degree in Architecture. Roy served in the Army Air Corp in WWII in Guam with the B-36 Bomber Group. He worked for the Austin Company. He also was church organist and choir director at Faith United Church of Christ in Wickliffe, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edgar and Harvey and is survived by nephews, Theodore and Lawrence Restel and niece Lois Fussner.
