Obituary

Ryan Christopher Trewin, 10 of Canal Fulton walked through the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ryan was a 3rd grade student at Stinson Elementary, where he was not only accepted but loved by his peers. Ryan loved life. His smile and laugh were contagious and his dimples were irresistible. Ryan's presence would light up a room and his unbreakable determination and spirit, have inspired countless numbers of people. He taught all those lucky enough to know him to look beyond the wheelchair and see the beauty within. He filled our lives with joy and laughter. The world is a better place because of Ryan and he remains a hero to many. Ryan is survived by his devoted parents, Jenni Barber and Jose Trewin; his loving brother, Andrew; his beloved dogs, Milo and Hank; grandparents, Cheryl Barber; Gary and Tinia Barber; Maria Bermudez; great grandmother, Sally Anderson; aunt , Sarah Barber; uncle Mike Barber; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends and classmates. Mass of the Christian Burial SATURDAY, 11:00 a.m. at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, 412 High Street, Canal Fulton with Fr. Pat Ferraro officationg. Friends may call FRIDAY, 1-8 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton). Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery.
