Samson Samuel Apticar, 86, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, in Akron, Ohio, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in India, Sam's life journey took him across continents. He pursued his education in England, then lived in Luxembourg and worked for the Goodyear Racing Team before eventually settling in Ohio, where he built a home rooted in family, faith, and service.

Sam is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvie, and their four sons - Nathan and his wife, Beverly; Tobi; Justin and his wife, Joanna; and Aaron - as well as 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who will forever carry forward his wisdom, humor, and unwavering devotion.

A proud member of the Canal Fulton community & Rotary Club, Sam will be remembered for his kindness, strong character, and the example he set as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness, Sam's spirit will live on through the family he cherished and the many lives he touched along his remarkable journey.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Samson's life at the Elm Ridge Event Center, 469 Elm Ridge Ave, Canal Fulton, Ohio 44614, on Sunday, 14 September from 2pm-6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sam's name are requested to the Rotary Club of Canal Fulton, PO Box 662, Canal Fulton, OH 44614.
