Sandra Sue Carrico Filliez passed peacefully at home in Massillon surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 21, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 16, 1942 in Lumberport, West Virginia to Dora (Swiger) & Wade Carrico. She graduated from Northwest High School. Sue is survived by Thomas Filliez, husband and love of her life. Her mother Dora Carrico, brother Thomas Carrico (Brenda), children Pamela Delaney (Mike), Dianne Cook (Steve), Edward Fischnich III, Clifford Filliez and Christopher Filliez (Brandy), 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Sue will join her father Wade Carrico, brother Randy Carrico and grandson Kristopher Carter in heaven. Sue was a life-time member of the VFW Auxiliary in Canal Fulton, Ohio. She and Tom loved to travel to West Virginia to see her cousins Patty and Kenny Ashcraft whenever possible. She enjoyed going on outings with her wonderful cousin Ginny Greenhill. Sue's last days were made very comfortable by Mercy Medical Center Hospice Nurse Angie and the hospice team. Calling hours for Sue will be at Canal Fulton Baptist Church on Monday, January 25, 2016 from 10 - 11 am with services immediately to follow. Sue will be buried in Canal Fulton Cemetery following her service. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Mercy Medical Center Hospice.
