Steven Richard Totaro, 71 of Canal Fulton, Ohio passed away January 21, 2026 after a long illness. He was born July 29,1954 in Akron and grew up in North Hill with his parents and 11 siblings. He graduated from North High School in 1972. He worked for 34 years at Goodyear Aerospace in Akron. His favorite pastimes included disco dancing with his sister Diane, showing dogs and later breeding Dalmatians, Basset Hounds, and Dachshunds.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of animals.

He is preceded in death by parents Michael D. Totaro and Patience R. (Malloy) Totaro, son Josiah Totaro and nephew Cory McQuaide. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Laurie (Richards) Totaro and children Katie and Seth (Meredith) Totaro. Cherishing his memory all across the United States are his siblings: Bill (Kathy) Totaro of Pennsylvania, Barb Totaro of Florida, Sue (Randy) Bonds of Alabama, Pat McQuaide of Ohio, Diane Bueker of Florida, Debbie (Dave) Christy of Ohio, John (Jocelyn) Totaro of Florida, Mary (Terry) Shaffer of Ohio, Kitty (Mike) Knaus of Virginia, Carolyn Totaro of Tennessee, and Dominic (Dena) Totaro of Arizona; in laws Roland and Fern (Mitchell) Richards of Ohio; brother in law Randey (Karla) Richards of Ohio; many cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews.

Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside burial will take place in the Spring.
