Susan Rae Donaldson

Susan Rae Donaldson, age 73, of Canal Fulton lost her battle with cancer on May 3, 2026. Susan graduated from Timken High School in 1971. Susan was a bookkeeper throughout her career, enjoyed spending time with her family and had a love for knitting & baking. Susan is preceded in death by loved ones that she looked forward to meeting at Heaven's gates; her husband John Donaldson Sr; her grandparents, mother Joyce Swisher and father Stanley Jones; mother-in-law Elvera Donaldson; father-in-law Ernest Donaldson. Susan is survived by three children, John Jr (Julie), Jan (Lucas) VanEmelen and Stanley (Jamie); grandchildren, Brendon (Ariana), Lucas (Mikaela), Alex, Nick, Katie (Luke), Austin (Lauren), Ryan, Emily and Ava Grace; 5 great grandchildren; sisters Sandy (Dana) Cole and Sonya (Don) Stewart; brother Scott Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Chapel Hill for the great care that she received for last 5 years & Hospice who made her last few months as comfortable as possible as the cancer took over. 

Visitation will be held THURSDAY, May 21, 2026, 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial Friday, May 22, 2026, 11:00am at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Louisville, OH.
