Theda Marie (Kiener) Rayl, 93, peacefully passed away June 24, 2025. Born April 2, 1932 near Kidron, Ohio to Elias and Mildred (Falb) Kiener, she resided in Green, Ohio most of her adult life. Theda was a graduate of Apple Creek High School, home maker, and a member of Riverside Alliance Church where she was a servant of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Theda was a talented musician who played the piano and organ for many years at several area churches, including Riverside Alliance where she was a member. She recounted many fond memories of babysitting with her grandchildren, as well as traveling with her husband to enjoy fishing trips and family vacations in Canada. Together, they also enjoyed doing volunteer work with Child Evangelism Fellowship and Haven of Rest. An avid genealogist, she loved researching and documenting family history, as well as traveling to reconnect with distant relatives. In addition to her parents, Theda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth B. Rayl; siblings Elinor (Harley) Bosley, and Donald (Mabel) Kiener. She will be greatly missed by her family, including her two children, Daniel (Alene) Rayl and LuAnn (Eric) Ucker; grandchildren, Joshua (Molly) Rayl, Andrew (Courtney) Ucker, Nathan (Kelci) Rayl, Philip (Hayley) Rayl, Joel (Amy-Kaye) Rayl, Emily (Michael) Bertschinger, and Peter (Cassie) Rayl; great grandchildren, Ruth and Elisha Rayl, Avery and Audrey Ucker, Kaelyn, Everett, and Liam Rayl, Parker and Forrest Rayl, Mackenzie, Benjamin, and Henry Rayl, Ann-Marie and Kenneth Bertschinger, and Judah Rayl; along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held SUNDAY, June 29, 2025, 3:30pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, grandson Nathan Rayl officiating. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home. Burial Monday, June 30, 2025, 10:00am at Greensburg Cemetery, Green, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Child Evangelism Fellowship, 310 Orchard Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 or Haven of Rest, 175 E Market St, Akron, OH 44308.
