Thomas Earl Filliez, 79, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in Winthrop, Washington. Born June 23, 1944 in Massillon to the late William and Doris Filliez. He retired from Republic Steel after 36 years of service. Tom spent the last of his life being taken care of by his granddaughter Stephanie Carter with whom he had a special bond and her fiance Cameron Greene. He loved the scenery in Washington and enjoyed his travels, having always wanted to visit this beautiful state. He served in the Army National Guard, was a patriot who loved God, country, his family and dogs. Tom and Sue enjoyed taking trips to West Virginia to visit Patty and Kenny Ashcraft, Sue's aunt and uncle, their last trip was August 2015. Tom is now reunited with his wife Sue, after eight years, who was the love of his life, whom he missed tremendously. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Sue Carrico Filliez; sister, Veronica (Sue) Filliez and brother, William John (Johnny) Filliez, grandson, Kristopher. Tom is survived by his children, Pamela Delaney (Mike), Dianne Cook (Steve), Edward Fischnich III, Clifford Filliez and Christopher Filliez (Brandy). His loving grandchildren, Stephanie, Courtney, Angelia, Samantha, Sean, Reno, Jermiy, Jared and Jax. Adorable great grandchildren, Haleigh, Aydan, Adi, Branson, Carter, Alina, Phobe, Madison, Aldan and Jada. Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, February 10, 2024, 1:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton with visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery.
