Thomas "Tommy" Helmick, 50 of Rittman passed away unexpectedly, Friday, August 8, 2014. He was born in Massillon and had been a life resident of the Dalton, Massillon and Rittman areas. A 1982 graduate of Dalton High School, he worked at HAD in Rittman and was a member of the American Legion in Doylestown. He enjoyed his Harley and lived to ride. Tommy is survived by his loving companion, Susan Haddox; father, Arnold (Jan) Helmick; mother, Earline (the late Jack) Rowles; sister Elizabeth Helmick; brother, Arnold Helmick, Jr.; sisters, Amelia (Dave) Wise, Rose (Randy) Roberts and Sheree Kandel; brother, William Helmick; sister Lori (Dave) Winesickle nieces and nephews. Funeral Service WEDNESDAY, 11:00 a.m. at the Wintergreen Ledges Church of God, 1889 Vernon Odom Blvd. Akron, OH 44320 with Pastor Jim Roma officiating. Burial Clinton Cemetery. Friends may call TUESDAY, 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 East Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church.
