April 15, 1952 – January 5, 2024
Thomas A. Weber, 71, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024. Born April 15, 1952 to the late Ivan and Donna (Gesaman) Weber. He was a 1970 graduate of Northwest High School; Tom was a great wrestler where he had won a state title for Northwest High School. Tom retired from General Electric with over 39 years of service where he was an Appliance Repair Technician/Eng. Tom was very proud of being a technician there was not a Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Washer, Dryer that he could not fix. Tom would help out many of his friends and family to repair these appliances, still to this date many of them still run. Tom was the Union President for the United Electric Workers for his local. Tom had a love for baseball and softball that he spent many years playing and coaching his sons' and daughters' teams. He had been a lifeguard for the state parks. A member of the Bolivar Sportsman's Club, where he would like to meet with many friends, to hunt, and participate in turkey shoots and other organizational events. Tom was also a volunteer firefighter for the Bethlehem Twp. Fire Dept. He was very proud of this, helping his community out and spending time with his friends. Tom enjoyed mowing grass, working in the garden, fishing, rabbit, pheasant and deer hunting and also spending time on the front porch with his daughter and sons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Krosse. Tom is survived by his children, Jon Weber, Lauren Weber and Blake Snider; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Matthew and Madisyn; brothers, Denny (Sharon) Weber and Jeff (Neala) Weber; sister, Amy (Jim) Hilton; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held THURSDAY, January 11, 2024, 10:00am at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd, Akron, Fr. Verbsky celebrant. Burial at Clinton Cemetery. Visitation WEDNESDAY, 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom's name can be made to Cleveland Ronald McDonald House, 10415 Euclid Avenue Cleveland OH, 44106.
