Obituary

Tommy V. "Brownie" Brown, 69 of Manchester died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. He was born March 4, 1944 in Akron, Ohio to the late Carol and Mary (Busson) Brown and had been a life resident of the area. Tommy graduated from Coventry High School and was a veteran of the US. Army. He was a former automotive mechanic for Lundy's in Coventry .For many years, he was a funeral home assistant at Prentice Funeral Home and for numerous other local funeral homes. He was a member of The Presentation of our Lord Romanian Orthodox Church and Wayfarer Lodge #789 F &AM. Tommy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Palletta (Miscoi) Brown; daughter, Tracey (Ben) Dietry; grandchildren, Zevin and Alyssa; sister, Sandra (Ralph) Thompson and niece and nephew. Funeral Service MONDAY, 12 NOON at The Presentation of Our Lord Church, 3365 Ridgewood Road, Copley with Fr. Ivan Pac-Urar, PhD officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Friends may call SUNDAY 2-5pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) and MONDAY from 11a.m. until 12 Noon AT THE CHURCH. Masonic Services with be conducted Sunday 1:30 pm by Wayfarer Lodge #789. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
