Van Bich (pronounced Bit) Smith passed away Tuesday June 24th 2014 at the Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service Care Center Akron, Ohio. Van was 49 years old and died of lung cancer. She was born in Da Lat Vietnam January 1st 1965. She always said the whole world celebrated her birthday. She is survived by her husband, James O. Smith II, mother Kin Xuyen Lam, two sisters, three brothers, three step children, three grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She held many jobs; kindergarten teacher was her proudest. She was loved by all; the kindest and gentlest of spirit.

A prayer service was held Wednesday June 25th 2014. Her final resting place will be the Canal Fulton Cemetery, Canal Fulton Ohio.
