Obituary

Walter "Bill" Miller, 75 joined his beloved wife in heaven on Friday, November 21, 2014. Bill was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1957 and a long time resident of New Franklin. He was a corporal in the U S Marine Corps, Platoon 274 and received many medals as a rifle expert. Bill worked at Babcock & Wilcox and retired from General Tire with over 30 years of service. He loved racing cars, camping, hunting and fishing. Bill was a greatly respected, helpful neighbor and friend. Bill gave everything he had to his family and he will always be cherished as a giving father and grandfather. He was preceded death by his wife, June; sister, Karen and parents Frances and Walter and is survived by his children, Bill (Terese) Miller, Laurie Jarvis and Marie (Dave) Campbell; grandchildren, Jacob, Garret and Leah. Family and friends may join the family in celebration of his life at calling hours on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER. 25th from 4pm to 6 pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93, Canal Fulton) with a Scriptural Service conducted by Fr. James Maloney, to follow. Private burial will take place at Clinton Cemetery.
