Walter L. Moore, 80 of Canal Fulton, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was born October 3, 1942 to the late Paul and Belva Moore. Walter served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Following his service he worked in the rubber industry in Akron and as a general contractor in Orlando, FL. Walter was an avid wood "piddler", making woodworking projects for family and friends to enjoy. The "Moore Stepstool" sits in many households around the country! LOL Walter was one of the most kind, loving and respected gentleman around. He would help anyone and everyone if needed. He would literally give you the shirt off his back, to give you a hand up. He had many friends who loved him! He loved hunting and fishing. He was very proud of his family and loved his brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Debbi Kyer; brother, Forrest Moore; sisters, Betty Schadl and Barbara Morgan. Walter leaves behind his son, Robert (Sharon) Moore of Canal Fulton; granddaughters, Caressa (Anthony) Paolino and Sierra Moore; grandson, Chad Kyer; great-granddaughters, Sunny, Willow, River and Raine; great-grandsons, Noah, Cloud and Iris; brothers Paul E. Moore of Orlando, FL and William D. Moore of Uniontown, OH. Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, December 28, 2022, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron. Visitation TUESDAY, December 27, 2022, 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
