Walter Herbert Wells "Herb" passed away on his family farm Tuesday, March 21, 2017. Born in Akron to the late Walter D. and Elizabeth K. (Sprague) Wells, he had been an area resident all of his life and owned Herb's Auto Service for 50 years. Herb was honorably discharged from the U. S. Navy. He loved spending time with family, hunting, fishing, farming and loved his cows and street rods. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Christopher William Wells and two brothers. Herb is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Trudy R. (Hopper) Wells; son Derl C. (Ninette) Wells; grandchildren, Nicole (Paul) Grant, Jon Semelsberger and great-granddaughter Natalia Mae "Mazey".

Calling Hours will be held FRIDAY, March 24, 2017, 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Herb's name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 3500 Embassy Parkway, Suite 150, Fairlawn, OH 44333.
