February 1, 1951 – December 10, 2023
Wm. Larry Ketler was born February 1, 1951. Larry fought a four-year battle of cancer; beating it two times but on December 10th, 2023 Larry went home to Heaven.
Larry was a lifelong resident of Canal Fulton and a graduate of Northwest High School Class of 1969. For many years Larry was a Canal Fulton Volunteer Firefighter where he met lifelong friends. Larry had worked for Reiter Dairy where he made ice cream and milk jugs, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Orchard Hill Church previously known as Highpoint Christian Church; where he accepted Christ and was baptized.
Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to them laugh and live their lives. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of the number 9, Bill Elliot; he would not miss a race.
Larry married his wife Karen, June 8th, 1985. Together they lived a happy and loving 38 years together. Every day Larry spent with Karen he worked towards providing a better life for her and making sure she was cared for.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Regina Ketler; daughter, Marnie Maxwell; sister, Diane (Tom) Nicholas and brother, Bob (Priscilla) Ketler. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Karen Ketler; daughter, Jami (Ray) Wagoner; son, Mike Waltz; grandsons, Connor, Corbin, Noah, Caleb (Alyssa) and Gino; great-granddaughter, Violet; brother, Don (Regina) Ketler; sister, Shirley Leicht; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held FRIDAY, December 15, 2023, 12:00pm (Noon) at Orchard Hill Church, 2545 W. Comet Rd. Clinton; Dr. Drew Causey and Pastor John Stahl officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the church.
