Yolanda Sparks (ne'e Makransky), 78, passed away peacefully on May 7th, 2025. She doubled her original predicted life expectancy living 9 years with metastatic breast cancer.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Yolanda was a devoted daughter to the late Irene Workman and Julius Makransky. She was the beloved wife of Stephen Sparks for nearly 60 years, loving mother to Diane Sparks and son-in-law Paul Imboden, and cherished sister to Priscilla Spray, her husband Jack, and Leona McLain. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and their children.

Yolanda had a quick mind and generous heart. Always a top student, her passion for learning never waned, and her sharp wit and warmth enriched the lives of those around her. She approached life with a balance of humor and compassion, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
