Alexander S. More, 91 of Canal Fulton, OH passed away peacefully on September 3, 2021 with family by his side. Alexander aka "Alex" and "Dick" More, retired from the Akron Public Schools in 1983. He was a teacher, coach and principal at Roswell Kent Junior High, Innes Junior High and Thornton Junior High. Alex graduated from Otterbein College and was a US Army veteran. He was life long Cleveland Indians Fan and was very proud of his Scottish Heritage.
Preceded in death by parents, Alexander and Nina More; and wife, Hilda More. Alex is survived by his brother, Peter S. More; nieces and nephews, Joyce, Jackie, Keith Melissa, Leslie, Pete and David; great-nieces and nephews, Jenny, Jordan, Connor, Christian, Zachary, Hunter, Reagan, Kayle, Kristin, Austin and Ian; cousins, Douglas R. Smith, Diane R. Smith, Elizabeth A. Turner and Marilyn Leiter (deceased); nephews Ted (Nancy) George and their children, Alex and Lili; Larry (Nancy) Robinson; Debra McDonnell, who was like a daughter to Alex and her children Matthew and Sarah McDonnell who were like grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held WEDNESDAY, September 8, 2021, 1:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton with visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron.
