Obituary

Alice Joy (Anderson) Sheatzley, 94, of Canal Fulton, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 6, 2023. Born on June 27, 1928 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late Lawrence and Geraldine (Lance) Anderson, retired from Brouse McDowell Law Firm after many years of service. Alice was a prolific reader and especially loved biographies about individuals overcoming hardships and world leaders. She also loved gardening, ancestral genealogy and traveling to Hawaii--her favorite vacation spot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Sheatzley; sister, Joan (Larry) Culp; brother, Raymond Anderson and infant brother, Duane Anderson. Alice is survived by her nieces, Pamela (Bill) MacDonald of Punta Gorda, Florida and Lynda Pinkerton of Minerva; nephew, Kevin Hunt of Portage Lakes and many other extended family members along with her closest friends, Doris and Jerry Daniels.
Alice's extended family expresses their sincere gratitude to staff members at Brookdale of Alliance, Brookdale Hospice and Affinity Hospice for their dedicated work and personalized patient care.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Salem Greenlawn Cemetery in Washington Township, Stark County.
