Carole J. Zay, 81 of Canal Fulton, passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022. She was born July 9, 1940 in Columbus to the late Robert B. and Opal (Seifert) Hines and had been a Canal Fulton resident for the past 50 years. Carole graduated from the Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She was a member of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church where she served as a parish nurse and enjoyed doing mission work associated with the Calvary Mission and Echoing Ridge. She would put her green thumb to work every year around her home and the Canal Fulton Community. Carole loved her church, yard, flowers and especially attending her grandchildren's musical performances and sporting events.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Zay and sister, Ann White. Carole is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Henry) Householder; son Bruce (Renee) Zay; grandchildren, Coby, Jocie, Lane and Hannah; brother, Bob (Carol) Hines and sister, Alicia (Darryl) Russ.
Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, January 8, 2022, 2:00pm at Canal Fulton United Methodist Church, 363 Cherry St. W, Canal Fulton. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. Due to Covid-19 masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.
