Cindy Ann Meister January 21, 1939 – September 04, 2021
Devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Cindy passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 04, 2021. She was born on January 21, 1939 to Harry and Catherine (Herzog) Garrison in Canton, Ohio. Cindy graduated from Timken High School where she studied art. In 1958 Cindy was crowned Miss Ohio and traveled to the Miss Universe Pageant in California. On August 1, 1959 she married her childhood sweetheart Donald “Mouse” Meister. Don and Cindy shared 56 years together until his passing in 2015, and had a wonderful life together. They were members of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Maximo, Ohio. Cindy was a friend to all and enjoyed doing things for others and had such a generous heart. A talented artist, she blessed many people with her paintings and carvings. One of her favorite things was to have family and friends over to their Paris, Ohio home for big holiday dinners. Cindy will be greatly missed and always be a part of the many lives she touched.
Cindy is survived by her three children, Christopher (Susan) Meister, Fritz (Nancy) Meister, and Catherine (William) Bourquin; grandchildren, Amy (Isaac) Bowen, Christopher (Lisa) Meister II, Kaitlyn (Gavin) Moyes, Megan (Noah) Jackson, Ryan Siskie, Jesse, Emily, David Meister II, Andrew Cottle and Ashley Swab; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ayden, Alissa, Hannah, Luke, Leah, Christopher III (Trey), Sonny, Charlotte, Carter, Jax, Zayne and Raven.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Michael and David Garrison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on WEDNESDAY, September 8, 2021, 10:00am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, OH 44230, with Fr. Louis Thomas celebrant. Burial will be at Clinton Cemetery on S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Clinton, Ohio. There will be no calling hours.
