Clayton L. Hopper, 69 of Canal Fulton, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 after a long battle with MS. Born April 15, 1949 to the late Lewis Clayton "Curly" and Dorothy (Titman) Hopper, he was a life resident of Canal Fulton, 1967 graduate of Northwest High School and attended Cleveland State for Engineering. Clayton was the owner and president of Astro-Tec Inc, Canal Fulton, for whom he travelled the world. He was a member of the former Kiwanis club of Canal Fulton and for many years was president of the Canal Fulton City Zoning Board. Among his activities, he enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, golfing and his Harley.
He is survived by wife, Stephanie Hopper; children, Matthew Hopper, Donnie (Jenn) Hansel and Mindy (Dale) Lewis; grandchildren, Chace Lewis and Sterling Hansel; sister, Trudy (the late Herb) Wells; nephews, Derl and the late Chris Wells; very close friend, Jeff Hoeft.
A Memorial Service will be held TUESDAY, 4:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Rev. Roderick Grabski officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday 2pm to 4pm.
