Dennis (“Denny”) Duane Ross, 75 of Canal Fulton, joined his parents, Harold and Elizabeth (Molnar), in Heaven on March 31, 2024. Denny worked as a finish carpenter in hundreds of homes around the Akron area; later, he used his skills as an independent contractor remolding and restoring many homes and businesses, including both of his daughters’ homes. When not working Denny could be found in his vegetable gardens where he grew enough to share with family and friends. An avid canner, he used what he grew in the summer to sustain him in the winter. Denny also enjoyed spending time on his riding mower on the “back 40”- often with a cold Budweiser (bottles only).
Denny is survived by his daughters, Denise Ross and Karen Ross; siblings Cynthia Janis, Randall (Beverly) Ross, Sandra (the late James) Steele, Linda Nichols, Gerald (Susan) Ross, Bradley (Rhonda) Ross, Kristina Underwood, Marissa (Clifford) Gensimore; and 11 loving nieces and nephews and their families.
A special thank you to the staff at Renaissance of Richfield/Bath Assisted Living for their patience and care during Denny’s residence.
An Open House will be held at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry Street E. (Rt.93) Canal Fulton, Ohio, on April 11, 2024 from 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denny’s name can be made to Sommer Wildlife Conservation Center at http://starkparks.com/wildlife-conservation-center/ or National Geographic at give.nationalgeographic.org.
