Canal Fulton – Elizabeth B. Light (79) of Canal Fulton passed away peacefully on November 21, 2021 with her beloved husband Garry by her side. Libby was born on November 28th, 1941 in Bombay, India to Gethen and Helen Lake.
Libby or the “Bibster” as she was known to the grandkids was truly the bestest grandma. She was the maker of milkshakes, deliverer of “chochie” milk and donuts and was always quick to provide anything the grandkids were in need of. She loved traveling to the beach and collecting seashells. There wasn’t a party that she didn’t enjoy, quick to offer help to anyone in need and to provide an opinion - whether asked for or not…haha. Her joyful spirit will be missed by all.
Along with her parents, Libby is preceded in death by her sister Sara.
Libby is survived by her husband of 60 years, Garry; children Tim (Charlene) Light of Ravenna, Lori (Greg) Hensley of Doylestown; Grandchildren Megan (Matt) Meggyesy, Mollie (Zack) Miller, Paul Hensley, Tyler (Rachel) Light, Jessica (Tanner) Nussbaum; Great grandchildren Aubrey, Gage, and Evelyn Meggyesy, Gavin and Victoria Miller; Sister-in-law Sylvia Davis; Niece Lee Ann Mace.
Calling hours will be held WEDNESDAY, November 24, 2021 from 4pm to 7pm at the Swigart Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. A private service will be held at a later date.
…get working on those milkshakes
