Euna M. (Gindlesberger) Kellar

Euna M.Kellar, 95 of Shelby, passed from this world January 4, 2021.
Euna was born June 3, 1925 at home in North Lawrence on a 160 acre farm to the late John and Mary Gindlesberger.  She graduated from Canal Fulton High school in 1943.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Dean Kellar; four brothers: Elmer, Ray, Frank and Thurl and one great grandson.

She is survived by her children: Diana (Al) Bibey of Mansfield; Jerry (Rhonda) Kellar of Mansfield; Carolyn Jones of Waggaman, La; Raised nephew Bob (Liz) Kellar of Massillon.  Eight Grandchildren: Kevin (Angie) Cooper of Massillon; Meagan (Terry) Garrett of Shelby; Teresa Jones and Glenn Jones of Waggaman, La; John (Simona) Kellar of Columbus; Mary (Michael) Re of Columbus; and Paul Kellar and Michael Kellar of San Diego, Ca. Eight Great Grandchildren: Maxwell, Abby, Grace, Gavin, Gillian, Ashton (Lacie), Benjamin and Abigail; and two Great-great grandchildren: Ashton Jr and Aubry. As well as many special nieces and nephews.

Euna stated once that “The most important job as a parent was to love” and she has always shown that love.  When her own children were still young Euna was a foster mother to over 40 babies to whom she became their foster parent.
When she and her husband moved into Massillon near Gorrell school Euna became a before/after school caretaker and is still known as “Grandma Kellar” to many.

Euna was also a member of 16 St Johns church on Rt 93 in North Lawrence before moving to Shelby in 2018 to be near family.

A private viewing will take place 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 7, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will begin immediately after officiated by Rev. Jim Gindlesberger at Swigart-Easterling  Funeral Home 624 Cherry Street N.E., Canal Fulton, Oh 44614.
