Gloria Jean (Nicholas) Kennedy

Gloria Jean Kennedy, 89 of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her home. She was born April 11, 1932 in Canal Fulton to the late Howard and Lillian (Bergdorf) Nicholas and was a life resident of Canal Fulton. Jean was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Daughters of America the Hill and Hallow Garden Club.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kennedy, Sr.; son, Robert Kennedy, Jr.; grandson, Charles Oakes IV; brothers, Thomas and Jerry Nicholas and sister, Mary Ridgway. Jean is survived by her children; Timothy Kennedy, Sr. of Arkansas, William (Theresa) Kennedy of Canal Fulton and Michael (Nancy) Kennedy of Missouri; grandchildren, Amber (Jayson) Bodine of Missouri, Catherine (Charles) Oakes, III of Massillon, Alex Kennedy of Missouri, Scott, James and Amanda Kennedy of  Texas,  Timothy Kennedy, Jr. of Arkansas; great grandchildren, Marcus Oakes, Austin Bodine and Benjamin and Kaitlyn Kennedy; brother, David (Rosetta) Nicholas of Navarre; sisters, Nathalie (Edwin) Charnuk of Norton, Linda (Burnell) Ellison of Garrettsville; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank InCare Ohio Home Hospice, especially Jessica and Linda, for their wonderful care of mom. 

Funeral Services will be held FRIDAY, October 15, 2021, 11:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Chaplain Ed Morris officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday, 5pm to 7pm and also one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to InCare Ohio Home Hospice, 600 E. Smith Rd., Medina, OH 44256.
