Helen L. Knapp, 95 of Canal Fulton, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. She was born September 27, 1926, in Akron to the late Max and Elizabeth Steiner. She was a graduate of Barberton High School, and the University of Akron. Helen was an elementary school teacher at Northwest Local Schools for 27 years. She was a lifelong member of Legacy Christian (former Church of Christ) in Clinton. Helen married Albert Knapp in 1949, and the two enjoyed camping, boating, travel, and most of all, their family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Al (2016), Helen was preceded in death by her beloved son, Albert Knapp, Jr. (Buzzy) in 2004. Helen is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Vic) Foltz, daughter-in-law, Lorraine Knapp, grandsons Tim (Kelly) Schwendiman, and Sam Schwendiman, granddaughters Emily (Christopher) Buchanan, Jessica (Robert) Lewis, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, her sister, Janet Johnson, sister-in-law, Wilma Knapp, nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.
A Memorial Service will be held SATURDAY, July 23, 2022, 10:00am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton, Jim Gindlesberger officiating. Private burial at Clinton Cemetery.
