Helen F. (Stauffer) Mock

Helen (Stauffer) Mock, born April 4, 1927 in Seville, OH, to Raymond and Ethel (Gish) Stauffer, died on October 26, 2023. She moved to the Portage Lakes area at age 12 and graduated from Coventry High School in 1945. She married Leo "Bud" Mock in 1946 and they lived in the Lakes area until 2002 when they moved to Canal Fulton. She spent 69 years as a loving wife and homemaker and spent 68 years as a mother to her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jack and Robert "Bob" Stauffer; her husband; and her son, Ernest. She is survived by son, Michael (Joe Miller), son, James and daughter, Kathy. She dearly loved her grand-dog Nellie who loved her right back.
Many thanks to the staff at Brookdale Barberton where she resided for the last 5 years and also to her "adopted daughter" Barbara Aldrich.
Inurnment will take place THURSDAY, December 7, 2023, 11:15am at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH with Diane Richmond officiating. Please meet at the cemetery by 11am. A Celebration of Life will be held at Brookdale Barberton, 487 Austin Dr. on THURSDAY, December 7, 2023, 2:00pm. She always said she hoped to be remembered with a smile.
