Janet May (Hill) Suderow

Janet M. Suderow, 88 of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Born November 21, 1934, she had been a Canal Fulton resident most of her life and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was the organist and choir director for 50 years. Janet was the director of the Canal Fulton Chamber of Commerce from 1979 to 1992, is a past president and was the first woman to serve on the Northwest Local Schools Board of Education. A real estate agent for 27 years, she retired from Schalmo Properties in 2005. Janet was also a member of the Sweet Adeline's and sang with them internationally. 
She was preceded in death by her father, Oliver Hill; mother and stepfather, Edith and Edgar Lott. Janet is survived by her children, Kathy Suderow and Tim (Carol) Suderow; and her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Funeral Services will be held THURSDAY, August 17, 2023, 4:00pm at St. John Lutheran Church, 336 Market St. W. Canal Fulton, Rev. Ann Cammarn officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Visitation WEDNESDAY 4pm to 7pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. Memorials donations in Janet's name can be made to St. John Lutheran Church. Janet's funeral service will be live streamed at http://www.facebook.com/loveserveteach. Following the burial, a meal will be served in the Fellowship Hall at St. John Lutheran Church.
