John Anderson Obituary

John E. Anderson, 56, of Doylestown, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 17, 2024.

John (“Johnny” to family) was born on November 24, 1967 in Barberton Ohio. Although Johnny spent some of his teenage years living in Georgia and Texas, most of his childhood was spent in Akron, Ohio, where he made many fond memories and where he met his dearest lifelong friend, Steve Francis.  John met and married Roma, the love of his life, in 2004.

John attended the McKim Institute of Technology where he learned skills that helped him build a long and successful career building and repairing large computer server systems and to eventually become a systems engineer.  John always enjoyed fixing things and was especially proud of all that he accomplished in his field.  Johnny’s hobbies and interests were many and included, cars, electronics, spirituality, scuba diving, politics, working on his property, healthy eating, and travel.  Johnny’s close friends and family will miss his sense of humor and his love of deep and lengthy conversations about a plethora of topics he’d become interested in.  Roma will forever cherish the many wonderful memories they made together for 20 years.  His family and closest friends will miss him dearly and wish him great peace in his eternal rest.

John is predeceased by his daughter, Amanda. He is survived by his son John E. Anderson, Jr.; parents, Carol Olson and James Anderson, Sr.  He is also survived by his loving wife, Romanela Anderson; his siblings, Shawna (Don) Spaller, Sherrie (Joe) Toth, Jamie (Doug) Lormeau, Jennifer (Brian) Bidlingmyer, Jim (Michelle) Anderson, Brett Veppert (Christine), Dusty (Bernie) Huff.

In honor of John’s wishes, family and close friends will mourn together in private, and there will be no funeral service.
