Jon L. England, 59 of Garfield Heights, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home. He was born January 2, 1962 in Warren, OH to the late John and Edith (Hecker) England. Jon graduated from Howland High School in 1980. He excelled in football, wrestling and track, as well as academic pursuits. Later in life, he laughed about his 15 minutes of fame as part of the high school academic challenge team. He received two undergraduate degrees from The Ohio State University, one in Animal Science and one in History. Additionally, Jon earned a degree as a pharmacy tech later in life. He had a lifelong love of learning, had embarked upon many self-directed driving tours all over the United States, enjoyed science fiction and horror genres, and was an avid Buckeyes fan. He was a loving and loyal son, brother and uncle. He was extremely intelligent, inquisitive and took pride in his work as an Industrial Hygienist at CTG Environmental. We rest in the fact that he knew Jesus as his personal Savior and is now enjoying the presence of God. Jon is survived by his sister, Ellen F. (England) and Terry Yoder of Canal Fulton, brother, Eric S. England of Oxford, OH; stepmother, Anna England; nephew, Ian R. Yoder and niece, Eryn C. Yoder.
A private family service will be held in his honor.
