Leonard R. Corazzi, 93, passed peacefully at the Community Hospice Truman House with his wife, daughter and son-in-law by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara; daughter, Lori Murphy (Tim); son, Dave Corazzi (Mari); son, Lynn Corazzi (Tina); daughter, Dana Annis (Cliff); 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Leonard was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and was a resident of Canal Fulton after having lived in Belpre, Ohio for 50 years. He was a member of SS Philip and James parish.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. He was a humble man but was proud to have served his country and often wore a veteran's cap when he was out and about. When strangers would stop and thank him for his service, he would say, "It was a privilege to have served".
Mass of Christian Burial will be held SATURDAY, 11:30 am, at SS Philip and James Catholic Church, 412 High St. NE, Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey celebrant. Visitation SATURDAY from 10am to 11am at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt, 93) Canal Fulton. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, MONDAY, November 13, 2023, 9:15am. Please meet at the cemetery by 9:00am.
