Marvin Keith Boggs

Marvin Keith Boggs formerly of Akron, Ohio passed peacefully from this life on Saturday July, 16th 2022. He was born on August 15th,1938 to his parents Jack and Sarah Boggs. He married his long-time sweetheart Yvonne Kay (Patton) Boggs formerly of Barberton. They were married for 49 years until her death in 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Sarah, wife Kay, son Jeffery, brothers Jack and Mark. He leaves behind son Greg (Betsy) of Austin, TX, son Mike (Becky) of Kyle TX, daughter Kristin (Doug) of Reno, Nevada. His legacy continues with grandchildren Amanda Boggs Weaver (Sam), Ashley Boggs Gray (Colton), Alyssa Boggs, Zachary Groover (Jenny), Matthew Groover (Hayle), Joshua Boggs (Melissa) and Christopher Boggs.
Marvin was a graduate of Buchtel High School and then Akron University following a stint in the United States Navy. He spent many years working in the wholesale baking industry holding positions of General Manager of Sales in Columbus Ohio with the Continental Baking Company and subsequently as V.P of Sales at Derst Baking Company in Savannah, Georgia where he retired. 
His passion other than family was a love of Ohio State football, the Atlanta Braves and anything related to golf. He loved his family and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. We know he is in the hands of God and his pain is gone but he will be missed by all. 
A Funeral Service will be held FRIDAY, July 29, 2022, 11:00am, in the Ivy Chapel of Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd., Akron, OH with Pastor Brent Malone officiating.
