Marvin E. Hardgrove, age 84, a life resident of Lawrence Twp., passed away on October 5, 2021, at his residence.
He was born August 4, 1937, son of the late Ralph E. and Esther (Fudge) Hardgrove.
Marvin was a self employed contractor and owner of Hardgrove Construction. He was also a former Lawrence Twp. Trustee.
He was a member of Canal Fulton United Methodist Church, Canal Fulton Lions Club, Canal Fulton Heritage Society, and a founding member of Canal Fulton Jaycees. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and a big Northwest High School football supporter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Wilma and his sister, Pat Horneberger.
Marvin is survived by his children, Todd (Becky) Hardgrove, Beth Holderbaum, Kelli (Kevin) McGrew; grandchildren, Zachary (Julianne) Medure and great-granddaughters, Rozlynn and Willow Medure.
Funeral service will be held on SATURDAY, October 9, 2021 at 11 A.M. at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 E. Cherry St., Canal Fulton, Ohio 44614. B.G.E.A. Chaplain Craig Hewitt will officiate.
Visitation will be held on FRIDAY, October 8, 2021 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the funeral home and on Saturday, prior to the service beginning at 10 A.M.
His final place of rest will be Canal Fulton Cemetery.
