Mary L. Coughlin, 78 of Canal Fulton, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023. Born July 2, 1944 to the late Ernie and Lillian (Schalmo) Bloomfield, she was a Canal Fulton resident all of her life. Mary was a 1962 graduate of Northwest High School, lifelong member of SS Philip and James Catholic Church and retired from Giant Eagle after many years of service. For 40 plus years she was actively involved with the Boys Scouts of America Buckeye Council specifically Troop 915 and Pack 303 Canal Fulton. Mary was an avid crafter and enjoyed her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, James Joseph II and brother, Ben Bloomfield. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jim; children, Michelle Coughlin, Tamela (John) Czakel, Tom (Kristen Luke) Coughlin, Dean Scott Coughlin, James (Devin) Coughlin, Jr., Kevin (Jennifer) Coughlin and Brian (Madelyne) Coughlin; 17 grandchildren and sister, Rita Mako.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held TUESDAY, June 6, 2023, 11:00am at SS Philip and James Catholic Church, 412 High St. N., Fr. Kevin McCaffrey Celebrant. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Visitation MONDAY, 5pm-7pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton.
