R L Clark, 95 of Canal Fulton went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April. 2, 2023. He was born April 9, 1927 in Chelyan, WV and attended Dry Branch School. He was a proud Army veteran having served during WWII. R L moved to Canal Fulton in 1957 with his loving wife of 61 years, Laura "Jo" Clark. He worked as a coal miner in WV for 10 years, Ohio Brass for 24 years, General Motors until he was 74 and then as a maintenance assistant at Echoing Ridge until he was 82. He and his wife also owned Canal Street Video, Inc. R L enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing.
Preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Sybil (Ellis) Clark; wife, Laura Clark; daughter, Patricia Wise; sons, Robert and Kerry Clark; grandson, Jeffrey Wise; granddaughter Dominque Clark; siblings, Lillian Burton, Major Clark, Alva Clark, Nellie Workman and Gladys Cooper. He is survived by sons, Daniel (Rachel) Clark and Rodney Clark; daughters, Beverly (David) Lowther and Pamela (Mark) Moore; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; brother, Ralph Lee (Carla) Clark; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services THURSDAY, 3:00 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton with visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. Burial with military honors, Saturday, 11am at Canal Fulton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the SAM Center, 413 Lincoln Way E, Massillon, OH 44646.
