Robert "Bob" Stahl, 84 of Marshallville, Ohio, passed away July 13, 2021, comfortably at his daughter's home. He was born on July 11, 1937 in Akron, Ohio. Bob fought the fight courageously with his diagnosis of cancer. He never complained. When asked, how are you doing Bob, his reply would be "taking a licking, but still ticking," always with a big smile. A gentle, loving and kind man to everyone, Bob had a wonderful sense of humor. His humor shined outward even with the pain he was enduring the last several weeks. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Virgie Stahl; and brother, James Scott. He is survived by his sons, Robert Stahl, Jr., Michael Stahl, and daughter Teresa Roch; grandchildren, Jason Clark, Ben, Michael, Misty, Jessica and Robby Stahl; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Shamp; brother, Jack Scott; other relatives and friends. Bob retired from PPG in Barberton, Ohio, while still farming. His next adventure was to buy into a partnership with Baltic Meat Market and at that time he resided in Baltic, OH. Bob's happy place was spending his winter at his home in Punta Gorda, Florida. He would joke by saying, "this life is rough, but somebody has to do it' with a laugh. Family wishes to thank Community Hospice of New Philadelphia, and special caregiver, Debbie Gadfield. A funeral service will be held MONDAY, July 19, 2021, 12:00pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm Monday. Burial at Manchester Cemetery.
