Ruth Ann Lair “Ruthie” enjoyed life. She was a caring daughter, grand-daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her passing was on July 15, 2021, at age 66. She was preceded in death by (in order) Christopher P Bollinger – nephew, Eleanor G. McMullen Lair – mother, Raymond F. Lair – father, Yolanda Lair – sister-in-law. Ruth Ann is survived by Mary Olson (Greg), Dave Lair (Yolanda – deceased), Eleanor Fulk (Bob), Carol Owens, Gloria Bollinger (Jack), 10 nieces, 8 nephews, as well as several great nieces, nephews, and cousins. She attended school and later worked at Metzenbaum Center in Chesterland, OH. After moving to Tampa, FL in 1998 she worked at McDonald Training Center for several years. Ruth Ann loved and enjoyed life. She loved dancing and listening to Elvis, the Carpenters, and Praise & Worship. She was in the Special Olympics held in Columbus, OH, winning several metals in swimming and track. She volunteered several years with her mother in Girl Scouts and Red Cross. While in Tampa, FL she was on the Superstar bowling league and won several “chicken pins” for her strikes and spares. She followed in her mother’s footsteps selflessly volunteering. The last 15 years she worked with children at her church in Tampa, FL.
A funeral service will be held on July 20, 2021, at Faith Outreach Center church on 7607 Sheldon Road Tampa, FL 33615 at 10am, for family and friends. A grave side service will be held on July 31, 2021, at Clinton Cemetery on Cleveland Massillon Road Clinton, OH. 44216 at 11am, for all who would like to attend. While flowers are welcomed, the family would also appreciate donations to Metzenbaum Center in Chesterland, OH. or McDonald’s Training Center in Tampa, FL. as an expression of love.
Celebration of life service will be held on September 15, 2021, from 6-8pm at the New Mercies church Burton, OH.
