Shirley Lucille Ferdinand, born December 13th, 1935 passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2023, just days after her love of 66 years, Paul.
Paul and Shirley had; two sons, Ron (Cindy) and Mark (Bridget); daughters, Brenda, Kathy and Joan; grandchildren, Eric (Betsy), Shawn (Tiffany), Ariel, Brook (Wayne) and Brianne (Jean); great-grandchildren, Aubree, Anslee, Aliee, Jordyn, Jake, Chase, Kai, Blake, Krista, Mitch and Josh; great-great grandchildren, Lissa and Elle.
Shirley shared Paul’s love of the Soap Box Derby and was there every race. She worked for McDonald’s for 21 years until she retired to be a homemaker. Shirley loved puzzles, Canton McKinley Bulldogs, Browns, Indians, the Cavs and most recently the Kansas City Chiefs; she loved to watch sports and crime shows. She also loved company, she didn’t mind who it was as long as she could visit with them.
Shirley loved her family and provided a loving home for them. She would show pictures and brag. She loved to hear how everyone was doing. She also enjoyed being outside and feeding the birds along with the squirrels. She loved to keep her house neat and tidy along with her flowerbeds.
She will be deeply missed by her family, her grandson’s dog, Tank, her little buddy; and her dear neighbors.
Funeral Services will be held SATURDAY, October 21, 2023, 12:00pm (Noon) at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt 93) Canal Fulton, Jim Gindlesberger, officiating. Burial at Canal Fulton Cemetery. Visitation ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time at the funeral home.
